Division of Two-Digit by One-Digit Numbers

With Easy Dividends

[Dividends with both digits easily divisible by divisor]
Reminder: 48 ÷ 4 = 12; in this case, 48 is the dividend, 4 is the divisor and 12 is the quotient. For problems such as 48 ÷ 2, split 48 into tens and ones. 48 = 4 tens plus 8 ones or 40 + 8. Divide the tens and ones by the divisor, 2, then combine.
48 ÷ 2 = [40 ÷2] + [8 ÷2] = 20 + 4 = 24.
Practice 1:
69 ÷ 3
69 = 60 + 9
60 ÷ 3 = (20)
9 ÷ 3 = (3)
(20) + (3) = (23)
Practice 2:
86 ÷ 2
86 = (80) + 6
(80) ÷ 2 = (40)
(6) ÷ (2) = (3)
(40) + (3) = (43)

Solve Mentally:
1. 48 ÷ 4
2. 66 ÷ 3
3. 99 ÷ 9
4. 68 ÷ 2
5. 96 ÷ 3
6. 46 ÷ 2
